I became interested in environmental issues when I planted an organic garden downwind of Dow Chemical in Michigan in the mid-nineties. My feelings of helplessness as I realized the vast scope of the problem contaminating my vegetable patch ultimately led me to focus my business efforts on people who were part of global and local solutions facing our planet.
I have a background in higher education and have worked as a marketing consultant to small businesses and non-profits with a focus on sustainability and alternative healthcare providers since 2006. I specialize in low-cost/no-cost creative strategies, cross-promotions, eMail Marketing, social media integration, event planning, and content management.
I have consulted various small business clients and non-profits in Montana and served as Communications Consultant for the Yellowstone Business Partnership and as Marketing Director for the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP). While in Montana I also developed to its successful launch, the Green Directory Montana, the only business directory in the state committed to green businesses. I started the first Green Drinks social networking group in Billings, Montana and help spread it to four other cities in the state.
